# Plaid API

> Banking and financial data connectivity

The **Plaid API** integration lets your agents access banking and financial data through Plaid's secure connectivity platform.

## Prerequisites

* A **Plaid account** - [Get started](https://plaid.com)
* A **Vatel AI organization** and at least **one agent**

## Configuration

1. In **Vatel AI → Settings → Direct Integrations**, click **Add Integration**.
2. Select **Plaid API** and enter your API credentials (Client ID and Secret).
3. Click **Save**.

Once connected, you can add the integration as a function node in your agent's conversation flow or logic flows for financial data access.
